The main field of research contains the financiation of
the public and private hospital sector in Germany and the
state´s regulation system to guarantee the necessary
number of hospitals. A further field of engagement deals
with the different financial tools of the government to
inforce more integrative structures between ambulatory and
hospital care. Adviser (scientific and political) of the
Federal Ministries (Public Health, Employment, Research),
WHO, several State Governments, Public and Private Health
Insurance Companies at the state and federal level, Medical
Schools (Universities), specialized hospitals and practitioners.
Owner and manager of hospitals which test new innovative
financing systems in public health.
Founder of the Gesellschaft für Systemberatung im
Gesundheitswesen, 1985 Kiel.
